About Mary

My career began in broadcast journalism, anchoring and reporting for television networks across the United States and France. I later transitioned into tech, first working on data and infrastructure teams before being recruited to lead marketing at seed and Series A startups.



How did I discover the power of Executive Branding? I stumbled on it. As a Head of Marketing and VP of Marketing, I started ghostwriting posts for the Founders and CEOs I worked for. I soon saw those organic posts turn into valuable leads. Once I leaned into the strategy (starting to post regularly on their behalf), leads generated via LinkedIn started to outpace those from traditional marketing channels. Over a couple of years, I developed my own LinkedIn Executive Branding playbook, which I now deploy at Vertical GTM.

What draws me most to this work is the opportunity to explore the stories behind industry leaders. How did they begin? What drives them forward each day? The process reconnects me with my journalistic roots: that instinct to ask questions and uncover what truly motivates people, whether they're building breakthrough technology, growing a family company, or simply trying to make money.
